The Equality Act 2010, revised October 2012, makes it unlawful for Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club
to discriminate against anyone on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage
and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation,
now described as having ‘Protective Characteristics’.
The Club recognizes this responsibility, is fully committed to the principles of equality of
opportunity and will endeavor to ensure that members, visitors, and affiliated organizations, are
not discriminated against because of ‘Protected Characteristics’ and have a genuine opportunity
to participate to their full potential at all levels and in all roles, within the Club.
